Here are some photos of captured German staff car flags brought home by Pop Pop! This first one is a German Naval Officer flag.
This flag came from a staff car for a German storm trooper! My uncle, John Reichenbach, remembers that Pop Pop also brought home genuine storm trooper boots. "I wore those boots out playing war when I was a kid" he remembers. Another memory involves a rifle that Pop Pop brought home from the war. One day John got ahold of the rifle and when Pop Pop found out he had fooled around with it, the rifle was gone the next day.
The most recognizable flag, this would have flown from the other fender of the German Naval Officer staff car.
