More information to be placed here regarding Pop Pop's service as part of the 90th Infantry Division. I know he was assigned at some time to the 90th, and I know he was awarded a bronze service star for Normandy, so I assume that Pop Pop was in the 90th when he landed at Normandy, France on June 7th. Here is a photo of the 90th insignia etched in the sands of Utah beach.
